The ERGON® Living system is the swinging-sliding door opening hardware that reduces the overall sizes of the threshold by 50%, expanding the living space without the need for masonry work.

Thanks to the simultaneous rotating and translating movement, the space occupied by the door is reduced by half compared to traditional systems, thus eliminating threshold problems while increasing the living and furnishing possibilities. Its revolutionary technology solves space management problems and improves movement between the various interior rooms, thanks to the double-sided opening and a push function that is simple and easy like that of any swing door.

Through the double-sided push open function, the ERGON® Living system is suitable for both private and public premises, meeting the problems related to the escape routes and the needs of disabled people using wheelchairs. Moreover, ERGON® Living swinging-sliding technology is a valid alternative even in premises already structured and in use, because it does not require masonry work or additional costs compared to traditional opening systems.

The hardware kit supplied can be applied to doors with various constructional features, large or small, made with any type of material: wood (from solid wood to hollow core), metal, plastic, and glass inserts. Three different versions are proposed with the aim of minimizing door hindrance during movement: (basic, small, and large) depending on the width of the doors, and over fifty standard items in various sizes and finishes.

The ERGON® Living S40 System is characterized by a vertical rotation rod inserted in the hollow door with a minimum of 40 mm thickness. There are two different technical manuals for this system: to construct the jamb with an upright or to use a flat jamb. In the ERGON® Living T.E. System, the vertical rotation rod is inserted in the jamb and the door can be hollow, solid, or glazed, with a minimum of 35 mm thickness. This system also comes in the following versions: ERGON® living T.E. for jambs with uprights and ERGON® living T.E. Slim for floor jambs.

All ERGON® Living hardware versions can be fitted with the Soft Opening serviceable damper and are available with basic, small, and large arms in the black and silver anodized finish. The weight of the door cannot exceed 70 kg and the size limits are 150 cm in width and 300 cm in height.

Advantages

The Ergon® HARDWARE KIT is a patented system making it possible to install rototranslating technology on normal residential wooden doors.

CAN BE INSTALLED ANYWHERE
ERGON® interior doors are highly versatile and can be installed in any setting. There are no particular dimensional or constructional constraints limiting the possibility of installing an ERGON® door. A normal subframe is sufficient.

A SPECIAL DOOR AT A NORMAL PRICE
Doors featuring the ERGON® system are aesthetically attractive. The design of the two-way rototranslating mechanism allows for a broad range of door dimensions and finishes, requires no special maintenance, and is practically noiseless. The cost of a door outfitted with the ERGON® system is quite low with respect to the benefits of recovering usable space around the door and its extreme versatility.

NO DOUBTS AS TO WHETHER TO PUSH OR PULL
The fact that the door pushes open both ways makes it possible to enter or leave a room by pushing the door open and then closing it again with extreme ease. This two-way feature is also ideal for resolving issues associated with emergency exit design.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
The simultaneous swing-and-slide opening/closing movement of the door minimizes space requirements, making even small rooms or closets perfectly accessible. The door pushes open easily, requiring no more effort than a traditional door.
