Used this hinge on a lift up butcher block countertop that is also a clothes folding area. We did not want the sharp ends or look of a piano hinge and butt hinges are above the surface. We thought about pivot hinges but were unsure of how one end would have to be attached. These adjustable concealed hinges left a clear work space and it engages the "cool" button for our client. They look great
